Our Community

 

The Community at Turquoise Barn is composed of a number of highly trained and qualified individuals that host and co-host retreats & workshops, supply us with local services & products, and are responsible for helping us to create the evolution of Turquoise Barn.  

 

Michelle Premura

Michelle is a co-creator of Turquoise Barn.  She is a certified vegan living & raw food chef & educator, natural lifestyle consultant, reiki practitioner, herbalist apprentice, artist, jeweler, mother, wild food enthusiast and botanical cuisine aficionado.   Michelle graduated from the University of Colorado-Boulder in Fine Arts - Sculpture.   She also graduated as a gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America in Santa Monica, CA and studied jewelry design & manufacturing at the Instituto de Allende in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.   Michelle has been learning and practicing whole food and natural living for over 30 years since she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 1985. In addition to hosting workshops and retreats at Turquoise Barn, she has also lectured and taught at a variety of schools and universities, as well as private events. Michael Milton

Michael is a co-creator of Turquoise Barn.  Originally from Jamaica, Michael is a painter, sculptor, & performance artist who graduated from the School of Visual Arts in NYC with an MFA from the University of Colorado in Boulder. He is also a wood worker extraordinaire, and master at recycling/reclaiming materials to design & renovate spaces into unique, functional, and aesthetically pleasing works of art.  Michael designed and renovated the Carriage House, Gallery and is currently completing the renovations on the "big barn."  He is currently working on creating his 3rd annual outdoor Reggae Music Festival.  

Victoria Lundell 

Vicky has been a NYC-based professional modern dancer for the past 30 years.  She continues to dance by practicing hatha yoga based in the Iyengar and Bikram methods, and has been teaching all levels of dance, yoga and pilates in Delaware County for the past 6 years.  Her instruction is informative and encouraging, and she welcomes all who are seeking a deeper connection to the self through their body, mind and spirit.  Vicky also offers private body work sessions for relaxation and therapy.  

Billie Kunzang
A Brooklyn native, Billie moved to the area 15 years ago for a more contemplative lifestyle and fell in love with the Catskill Mountains and idyllic farms of Delaware County. She is a Registered Nurse, Reiki Practiioner - Third Degree, Certified Life Coach, and Raindrop Massage Therapist (with essential oils). She uses her diverse training to support one's inherent ability of self healing. 

Michael Premura-Milton
Michael is responsible for giving us the motivation to keep moving forward!  In addition to being our inspiration, his contributions involve photography, keeping us current on social media, customer service, and entertainment.  Michael is also an amazing and dedicated soccer player and sprinter. 

Oaxaca Casa de Quetzal 

We are excited to be working together with Oaxaca Casa de Quetzal, a new Retreat Center opening in Oaxaca, Mexico!  

Elizabeth Baena
Elizabeth is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.   She graduated from University of Colorado - Fine Arts.  Her experience and studies include conceptual art, interior design, jewelry design, home accessory design and fabrication.  She is passionate about art, creating spaces, ritual, travel.  She is the co-creater of  Casa del Quetzal and co hosts retreats with other artists, herbalists, and local artisans.  

 

Hector Guerrero
Hector is an artist and chef from Mexico City.   He has worked as a chef for 8 years and is trained in both Mexican and Japanese cuisine. He is passionate about food, art, music, travel.  He is also the co-creator of Casa del Quetzal, and hosts workshops, retreats, and tours.
